The meeting was presided over by Mr. Steve Morley, president of the British Forging Association, who was the rotating president of the previous session (2019-2022). The meeting passed the memorandum of the 57th meeting of the president by a show of hands. Discuss the annual financial audit report of ICOSPA for 2021-2022, the 2023 budget and the editing and publication of ICOSPA member newsletters. Inform countries of the first half of 2023 economic and industry development situation and the second half of the development forecast research report. National associations take turns to report on their economic situation, industry development and association activities. Overall, the economic situation and industry recovery in the United States, Japan and Germany are better as the epidemic passes. Of course, there are also many problems, such as high inflation rate, high raw material and energy prices, rising labor costs, resulting in increased sales of enterprises, but did not make money! In addition, we are generally concerned about the EU carbon boundary adjustment mechanism, new energy utilization and new energy vehicle development status and future expectations.

After the investigation and preparation of the Japan Metal Stamping Industry Association, it is proposed that the 2024 International Sheet Metal Forming Alliance International Conference will be held in Osaka, Japan, from October 23 to 25, and a visit to the nearest enterprise will be organized. It is estimated that 4 visiting routes will be organized, and each visiting route will visit 2 enterprises. The visiting enterprises will mainly focus on automobile stamping parts, while taking into account the stamping production of household appliances and electronic components.

At the invitation of the Japan Forging Machinery Association, the organizer of the 2023 Tokyo Metal Forming Expo, the representatives of the president's meeting attended the special seminar on the latest technology of Japanese forging technology and equipment. Four of the most representative Japanese companies were invited to introduce their companies, products and exhibits. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Tatsuko, Special Director of the Japan Metal Forming Industry Association. AIDA Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (AIDA Engineering Ltd) introduces the development trend of the press required for the production of next-generation automobiles, especially electric vehicle parts, involving forging and stamping products, mainly focusing on the application and advantages of servo mechanical presses. Tian Tian Press System Co., Ltd. (AMADA Press System Co., Ltd) mainly introduces Tian Tian Group and Tian Tian Press and Automation Co., Ltd. Its products include stamping presses, automation peripheral equipment and spring forming technology and equipment. The Institute of Electrical Discharge Precision Machining (Hoden Seimitsu Kako Kenkyushio Co., Ltd) introduces the adaptability of servo mechanical presses to various forming materials, focusing on the ZENFormer of a latest multifunctional forming machine for the production of various types of hardware. komatsu industrial machinery co., ltd (Komatsu Industries corp.), introduced komatsu latest metal forming technology and products, including servo mechanical press, underwater laser cutting machine and bending machine and bending forming technology etc. The delegation then went to the booths of the four companies to see the latest technology and exhibits. At the request of the rotating chairman of the China Forging Association, in order to enrich the Chinese delegation's visit to Japan, before the president's meeting, the Chinese delegation went to Japan's Tiantian Group headquarters to exchange Tiantian's latest stamping technology and equipment, and visited its Fuji Palace factory. During the exchange, Mr. Hamada delivered a welcome speech on behalf of Tian Tian. Mr. Liao introduced Tian Tian Group and its press and automation company. After the exchange, he took us to visit Tian Tian Group's exhibition hall and museum. Then, I took a bus to visit and study at Tiantian Fuji Palace. As the research and development and manufacturing base of Tiantian Group's sheet metal products, there are five factories: the first factory, CNC punching machine and bending machine frame, turret processing system; The second factory, laser module and bending machine assembly; The third factory, a special laser factory; The fourth factory, accessories center; The fifth factory is a special factory for laser vibrators. The processing environment, process flow, ergonomics, management level, processing accuracy and busy scene of all workshops, as well as the historical background and innovative spirit of Tiantian Company, have left a deep impression on our party.
