Process classification for stamping, sheet metal and fabrication
It is divided into two categories, separation process and forming process.
Separation process
Separation process is to make the workpiece and sheet metal, or make a part of the workpiece and semi-finished products, along a certain contour line to achieve mutual separation of processing methods. The main processes include: shearing (cutting), blanking (blanking), punching, trimming, cutting, precision blanking, etc.
forming process
The forming process is a processing method for changing the shape of a part or the whole of a flat blank or semi-finished product. The main processes are: bending (bending, rolling, curling, stretching, etc.), deep drawing, bulging, flanging, necking, hemming, leveling, spinning, etc.
